May is a wonderful time to explore the Valencian Community. Depending on seasonal opportunities, the itinerary may include local festivals, markets, agricultural activities, and other special experiences that showcase the region at its most vibrant.
Our accommodations have been selected to reflect the character of the Valencian Community while providing comfort and convenience throughout the journey. We begin in Altea, a picturesque Mediterranean town that serves as the home of Artisan Culinary School, before relocating to Valencia, one of Spain’s most vibrant and exciting cities. Each property is chosen for its comfort, location, and ability to connect guests with the places we visit.
Meals are an essential part of the experience. Throughout the journey, we will enjoy a combination of traditional restaurants, family-run establishments, producer-hosted meals, local specialties, and carefully selected dining experiences. From rice dishes and seafood to olive oil, cheeses, wines, and seasonal produce, the focus is always on authenticity, regional identity, and exceptional ingredients.
The Valencian Community is home to a diverse and evolving wine culture. Throughout the journey, guests will have opportunities to taste regional wines, explore historic and emerging wine regions, visit vineyards, and discover the grape varieties, traditions, and producers shaping the future of Valencian wine.
Many of our most memorable moments take place away from the cities. Throughout the journey, we will visit artisan producers, farmers, winemakers, cheesemakers, fishermen, and food artisans who continue to preserve the traditions and products that define the region. These visits offer a unique opportunity to connect directly with the people behind the food.
While the itinerary includes numerous guided activities, we also believe that independent exploration is an important part of travel. A full free day in Valencia, along with selected free meals throughout the trip, allows guests to follow their own interests, visit museums, explore markets, relax by the sea, discover local restaurants, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of the city.
This is not a rushed sightseeing tour. Distances between destinations are relatively short, allowing us to spend less time on the road and more time enjoying meals, conversations, and meaningful experiences. Our goal is to provide a relaxed and enjoyable pace that encourages genuine connection with the places we visit.
Throughout the journey, we travel aboard a modern private coach operated by one of the region’s trusted transportation companies. Routes are carefully planned to minimize travel time and maximize opportunities to enjoy the destinations we visit. Our coach is clean, safe, air-conditioned, and spacious, and because we travel with small groups, guests enjoy additional comfort and room throughout the journey.
While the core elements of the itinerary are carefully planned, we intentionally leave room for seasonal opportunities that may arise during our travels. May is a beautiful time to explore the Valencian Community, and local festivals, markets, agricultural activities, fishing traditions, and special invitations often provide unexpected highlights that become some of the most memorable moments of the journey.
Our itineraries are built around visits with working producers, artisans, farmers, fishermen, winemakers, and family businesses. While we make every effort to deliver the experiences described, agricultural activities, weather conditions, fishing schedules, harvest cycles, family obligations, and other operational realities may occasionally require adjustments. Should a planned visit become unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute it with an alternative experience of comparable quality and interest. In practice, these changes often create unexpected opportunities and memorable discoveries. We always maintain contingency plans and work closely with our network of partners to ensure a seamless and rewarding experience for our guests.
Please note that this journey includes a balance of curated group activities and independent exploration. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of free time to discover local cafés, restaurants, museums, markets, beaches, and attractions according to their personal interests and preferences.
